visiting shrine

It was just 100th day after Waka was born today. We visited local shrine and prayed to be given happy and healthy life. Then, we picked up some small stones for “Okuizome”. Do you know about the old Japanese custom called “Okuizome”? It is a ceremony held on 100th to 120th day after a new baby's birth. In this ceremony, the baby is made to pretend to eat a meal with parents' hope that this baby will never need to worry about food during a lifetime.
